DAN LEAVY has insisted he never feared his career was over.
Leavy has made three appearances off the bench and two starts over the past month — his first action since suffering a horrific knee injury against Ulster in March 2019.
The back row was immediately ruled out of the World Cup with some concern over whether he would be able to make a comeback and play the game again.
But Leavy — who has declined to confirm the exact nature of the injury other than to say it was complex — claimed he was sure he could stage a recovery.
Leavy said: “I had confidence in the team around me. I am pretty lucky that we have such a good medical and physio staff here in Leinster.
“Karl Denver, the physio, has really been tireless…
