Liverpool will hold talks with one of the club’s biggest supporters’ group in a bid to repair trust following the failed European Super League project.

Chief executive Billy Hogan will meet with members of the ‘Spirit of Shankly’ group as calls continue for a fan representation at board level.

The Reds were one of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ attempting to join the breakaway Super League, a proposal that came crashing down following protests involving Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) were believed to be one of the driving forces behind the project, alongside rivals Man United.
