An Oxford coach driver has been dubbed a hero after he rescued a petrified Labrador who escaped onto the fast lane of a motorway.
Richard Pimm, 48 wasn’t supposed to come into work that Saturday, but he was asked to work that day because there was a shortage of drivers.
Pimm, from Didcot, Oxfordshire, spotted the dog while he was driving a long-distance coach of 50 passengers to London. He saw the pooch running down the outside lane of the motorway, panicked and afraid for his life.
He said: “That Saturday was supposed to be my weekend off, but I was asked to come in and help out because they were short of drivers.
