Caleb Porter has warned his Columbus Crew players to be careful against “dangerous” high-pressing opponents New York Red Bulls in Saturday’s MLS Cup playoffs.

Familiar foes Columbus and New York meet in the post-season tournament for a fifth time, with the hosts looking to gain revenge for their 3-1 aggregate loss in 2018.

The Red Bulls are still in MLS Cup contention largely thanks to the work of interim boss Bradley Carnell, who has picked up 21 points from 42 since replacing Chris Armas in September.

Columbus finished three places better off than their opponents in the Eastern Conference but Porter acknowledged that beating NYRB is no easy task.
