Timo Werner has warned his Chelsea team-mates they must stop leaking goals following their 3-3 draw with Southampton – declaring “defences win titles”.
Werner put Frank Lampard’s side 2-0 up within the first half-hour of Saturday’s Premier League clash with a couple of brilliant goals.
But he saw his good work start to come undone when Danny Ings pulled one back after Kai Havertz lost possession in his own half.
And Southampton were level through Che Adama following a poor backpass from Kurt Zouma and a mistake from Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Havertz atoned for his earlier error by firing Chelsea back into the lead in the second half, but Jannik Vestergaard scored in injury time to earn a point for the Saints.
