Tottenham Hotspur fans will be hoping potential new manager Paulo Fonseca has wisened up after a previous high-profile error at his former club.
The ex-Roma boss is said to be in ‘advanced talks’ with Spurs’ hierarchy, who have been searching for a new manager since sacking Jose Mourinho in April.
Ironically, Mourinho has replaced his Portuguese compatriot in charge of the Italian giants, with Fonseca set to make the reverse move to north London after the club’s talks with Antonio Conte broke down over the weekend.
